And a different view (link)
We are still a beacon of hope for much of the world. Largest economy. Most diverse workforce. Most innovative workforce. Most entrepreneurial. Best military. Freedoms we take for granted that so much of the world doesn't have.
I've been outside this country and visited places that are supposedly "free", and where the citizens are robots. And between us and Europe, our recovery since the 2008 crash has been better than their recovery. Those wonderful leftist technocrats made the huge mistake of sharing a currency across many nations, and it's left many of them vulnerable to debt panics that we don't have to worry so much about.
Are we perfect? Hell No. Do we have problems? Yes. But geez, it gets old listening to people act like we're no better than Brazil or something. Please let's stop apologizing for how "awful" this and that is in our country.
Give me America or Give me Death!
